The band was tight and fresh! The Pixies make some of the best music ever and they are only getting better with time. You can tell they were having a blast even as they worked out a couple minor kinks- after all this was only their second date of the North American tour. Kim's replacement Paz is a natural fit and did a superb job. The Venue is great- just a few thousand of us in a steep configuration means they are all great seats. Easy parking and getting in and out. The beer line was ridiculously long- surely that can be avoided by providing enough staff. Overall a very memorable show!!

PACKED WITH PLENTY
From open to close this was a polished set that dipped into the full catalogue and was performed with gusto and polish. With stage lighting that let the band observe the audience and vice versa as tone dictated, the contrast between serenity and mania was played off excellently. As many old favourites as you could wish and a peppering of intriguing new sounds to whet the appetite. A great balance in an intimate open air atmosphere. Highlights for me were opening with Cactus, a slow tempo Nimrod's Son and a rendition of Gouge away under green lighting that redefined it for me. Quality and class.

AMAZING SHOW AT AN AMAZING VENUE!
This was the first time I had been to this venue. This was also the first time I saw the pixies live. The sound was fantastic. The seats seemed to all be great! I was fortunate enough to sit in section ccc row 4. The band was so close which added to the visual experience. Overall the pixies really know how to get the crowd going and bring to life their music. Plenty of crowd pleasers. The only complaint is some of the staff. At the end of the show they are very pushy in making you leave. Not allowing time to reminisce and talk with fellow goers and take additional pictures close up. I understand the curfew but there should be a better way especially when some concert goers are coming from far away.
